European Cruises Travel Adventures
Who among us hasn’t dreamed of going on a cruise? The next decision is where to go, what kind of cruise to go on. European cruises offer so much to take in and so many excellent opportunities to create wonderful memories. European cruises offer so much to the traveller as well. Hundreds, even thousands of years of human history blended with bountiful offerings of natural beauty and history. Beaches, restaurants, nightlife that goes from dusk to dawn.
The prime tourist season runs from late spring, through summer and goes through early autumn. If you want to avoid the crowds and have a better chance at negotiating discounts, you might consider the off season. The destination choices are too many to list entirely. There is the ancient history and architecture of Greece. The food and wine of France. Casinos of Monte Carlo. Amsterdam offers many goods and services legally that are otherwise illegal elsewhere. There really is something for everyone!
Cruise lengths vary from as short as three or four day, to as long as a month or more - it's all up to you really. The most common is a week, I would suggest this duration as well. The amount of stops can vary also. Some are “floating hotel” tours. On these you live on the ship completely. Other cruises you will disembark and stay in land based accommodations. The latter will many times also offer excursions inland as part of the package.
After you have made the decision to go on a European, then there are many other decisions to make. Trying to cram too much into too little time often time doesn’t work. The first decision to make is the length of your cruise. Then decide what interests you the most out of what is available. Talk to an expert and ask lots of questions. Then it’s bon voyage!
